Full binding

A book, its spine and both covers are covered with one and the same material. In practical usage, these books are known as full cloth, full leather or full parchment bindings.
The typical representative in present times is certainly the full cloth volume. In library systems, heavy-duty buckram is usually used, whereas bibliophiles prefer a cloth binding with open structure, such as matt cloth.
